Hello, Please, if someone has a scope of LODRV and HDRV share with me, i am still having troubles with the charging process, ST1 starts blinking when battery is 15.556V, it should get to 16.4V Thank You

Forum Post: RE: BQ24650EVM-639: Charging LiPo Batteries
Hello Fabian, 1) This document is helpful in understanding the need for cell balancing of battery: www.ti.com/.../slyt322.pdf 2) Lower charge current means a longer charge profile for your battery, and you can calculate expected charge time based off of battery capacity and charge current. BQ24650 does not have a fast charge safety timer so you can charge at low current for a long time. 3) If the solar panel or other input source cannot provide the total power of the system and bq24650 charger, the input voltage drops. When the voltage sensed on the MPPSET pin drops below 1.2 V, the charger maintains the input voltage by reducing the charge current. If the MPPSET pin voltage is forced below 1.2 V, the bq24650 stays in the input voltage regulation loop while the output current is zero. The STAT1 pin is LOW and STAT2 pin is HIGH.

Forum Post: RE: BQ4050: bq4050 evm connection
Please take a photo of your connections to the evm and then send them over. I have checked out 4s with the 4050 fw on the bq40z50 evm. It works fine. Your Vbat looks OK. I'm puzzled by your cell voltages though. Send me the srec you have on the board. I'll have someone look at it here.

Forum Post: RE: BQ30Z554-R1: Unseal Bq30z55 code
Hi Tianya, It is likely that your battery experienced a permanent failure (PF) which means that the safety circuitry determined there is an unsafe condition and the pack needs to be permanently disabled. Typically a chemical fuse is blown inside the pack so you cannot charge or discharge it. It is recommended to safely recycle the battery.

I know.I connected ev2300 ,but prompted sealed, I have repaired the battery pack, now,I need to reset the management chip(bq30z55),so I need to unlock it,but the battery pack status is PF,so i need unseal code

Forum Post: BQ76930: What kind of value does the voltage show when the BQ76930 collects a battery voltage less than 2V?
Part Number: BQ76930 Hi team, The ADC measurement range value described in the BQ76930 specification, the cell voltage range is 2 to 5V. When the voltage value of the actual cell is less than 2V (such as 1.8V), what kind of voltage value will the BQ76930 upload to the MCU? Could you please help answer this question? Thanks&Best Regards, Sherry

Forum Post: BQ27542-G1: Qualcomm chip msm8953‘s gpio sends Break and Break Recovery, then BQ27542 is not responding and can't communicate
Part Number: BQ27542-G1 Hi team, According to the Timing Requirements of BQ27542 datasheet: HDQ Communication diagram (a) , I pulled the HDQ down by 500us, then pulled it up and delayed it by 60us. From the waveform diagram captured by the oscilloscope, I found that this IC is not responding, as shown in waveform (b). The code I tested here is as shown below: Could you please help analyse the reason? Thanks & Best Regards, Sherry

Forum Post: RE: BQ76PL455EVM: No UART response
Hi David, I have tried those and confirmed the wakeup pulse works. I also sent a command from the PC GUI to the EVM and got the expected reply, however when I loop send from the TMS I do not get any reply. This was checked with my logic analyzer. PC: 81 00 0A 00 2E 9C sent and 00 00 00 00 received TMS: only 81 00 0A 00 2E 9C was sent Yellow: EVM TX Green: EVM RX Red: Wake I have noticed that the TMS will send a wake command when it sends the transmit signal. Thanks, XingLu

Part Number: BQ27441EVM-G1A Hi We are using the BQ27441EVM-G1A . By using EV2300 board i am trying to calibrate the my single cell (3.7V/5200mAh) battery. When i open the Battery Management studio 1.3.54.1 version ...The device is in SEALED mode. LOCK symbol is able to see on IC as shown in image attached here. i tried to UNSEAL with 80008000 command. But it is switching between SEALED and UNSEALED mode.(LOCK & UNLOCK). Unable to measure even battery parameters. Temperature register is also showing very high ...260 degrees..... Please help any one. How to calibrate my battery.

Forum Post: BQ40Z80EVM-020: Purpose of circuit around Q4? DSG FET not fully open up.
Part Number: BQ40Z80EVM-020 On the BQ40Z80EVM-020 , what is the purpose of the circuit around Q4? And its relation to DSG FET Q3? I build my own BMS circuit board based on P40Z80, which is mainly a copy of the BQ40Z80EVM-020 reference design. Everything works as expected, except the discharge FET (Q3 on the EVM) doesn't fully open up when commanded. I see a voltage drop of ~8V when pulling ~210mA and the FET is getting hot. Voltage at DSG test point is 16V in that case. When I slightly touch the Q4 gate or remove Q4 entirely, then the DSG FET Q3 fully opens up, voltage drop is a few mV, output voltage and current as expected. Voltage at DSG test point is 21.6V then. The BMS design is running from 6S Li-Io at nominal 21.6V. In all test cases the CHG FET is commanded open. Any help appreciated, thanks.

Forum Post: BQ25700A: Switching MOSFETs
Part Number: BQ25700A Hello, Taking my first steps with BQ25700A . After running BQ25700A-EVM with EV2400 , I printed a proto board. I had a few CSD17308Q3 left from a previous buck only charger ( BQ24725A ) series, and after comparing CSD17551Q3A and CSD17308Q3 datasheets, I chose this last one for the proto. Rds_on are similar, but Qg and Qgd are much lower with CSD17308Q3 . So switching losses should be lower, right? Did TI choose CSD17551Q3A for the BQ25700A EVM instead of CSD17308Q3 because it's newer? Apart from a lower Vgs for CSD17308Q3 (+10/-8V instead of +20/-20V), I don't understand why CSD17551Q3A should be more fit for this application. Can someone tell me if I made a wrong choice, and if so, why? If my choice is OK, where can I get some advice for placing vias under the thermal pad for heat conduction? Same guidelines as for CSD17551Q3A ? No info for thermal vias on CSD17308Q3 datasheet. Thank you. Regards. Matthieu.
